Qualified candidates must have a minimum of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited four-year college/university with a major or concentration in accounting. Candidates must have excellent computer skills and appreciate cutting edge technology. Payroll Specialist I

We are seeking a full-time Payroll Specialist I for our Lexington, Kentucky office.

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing payroll information and providing excellent service to clients. This position is responsible for payroll records and reports including the preparation of quarterly and yearly payroll tax returns using an in-house system. Other duties include researching payroll notices and assisting clients with annual worker comp audits.

Minimum qualification is a H. S. diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years experience processing payrolls and preparing quarterly and annual tax returns. Candidates must have great people skills and very strong computer skills including intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. QuickBooks Online experience or certification is preferred. Must be able to work in a fast paced, deadline driven, multi-client environment. Experience in a public accounting firm is a plus.

Intern/Co-Op Positions

Interns at Baldwin provide support to all employees allowing for well-rounded experience in the accounting field. From basic bookkeeping to tax returns, interns can make their experience what they want it to be.
